Cat Creek RV Park & Event Center

The park is easy in and out, the hookups are easy to get to, no one was onsite, so it was all by phone, you pay by envelope on the kiosk, we have a F450 and a 47' Toy Hauler, and the center spots were absolutely perfect, the only drawback is you are right next to the highway, and it is on the slowdown into the town, so you get to hear the jake brake's, we had someone else there at the park, they left their dogs out all night and the barked ALL NIGHT. I would stay here again regardless.

We stayed one night at Cat Creek RV Park on our way home from Texas and had a great experience. The park is well-maintained and situated on the outskirts of town in a quiet, peaceful location. While there was some truck noise, it faded as the evening settled in. The staff was very responsive to our calls, and payment was made conveniently via a drop box. We were initially concerned about the nearby train tracks, but the train runs infrequently, and the only time we heard it was early in the evening before bed. Given our positive experience, we plan to make Cat Creek RV Park a regular stop on our trips between Colorado and the South.

Perfect site and location for an RV stopover. Convenient, clean, well-equipped and meticulously maintained with everything the modern road warrior needs for a quiet, comfortable, safe and worry-free overnight stay. Highly recommend!

We are one of 4 parked at Cat Creek right now. Maybe more will trickle in later. The campground is very level and completely covered with fresh gravel. No one was in the “office” when we arrived, but they answered immediately and we got a pull-through site right in front of the entrance. There is a laundry available, and WiFi. (I haven’t tried it.) There is a grassy area with an old army tank for walking the dog. It has two covered picnic tables and uncovered ones at each site. This is great for an overnight stay. AT&T cell service is 5G with 3 bars. Hubby found a few local over the air TV stations. There is a pharmacy next door, but since it is Sunday, it is closed. I would give it a 5 except for the amenities and lack of landscaping, it is over priced at $40.

Highway noise - but we expected that as we knew it was right on the highway. We were in Site 12. Sites are roomy and fairly level for gravel sites. There isn’t a staffed office. But we did have a reservation for our specific site. So we were surprised to have to move a picnic table before we could back our RV in, and we had to physically pull up about six very very large thorny weeds as well as carry away another six or so lying where we needed to park our vehicles. These weren’t small ground weeds you could roll over. They were HUGE thorny weeds (that become tumbleweeds) that would damage your vehicle. I was just surprised to have to clear space for both our RV and our vehicles when we were expected.
