Customer Reviews
Hi, I don't usually leave reviews but this time, I had to. Every negative thing said about this hotel is true. They edit their pictures to make it look better, larger and brighter. The room looks akin to a prison cell and this is me being as objective as possible. We were so concerned, we even had to do a bedbug check ourselves. . The pillows are flat with stains on them. The comforter was not even what is advertised on the photos; it was a essentially a thin blue rag (not grey as advertised) with threads and white balls coming out, and various stains. The sink faucet was broken as was the smoke alarm, popping out of their attachment site. The toilet had stains with urine present inside the toilet. I guess they do not even flush the toilet before a new customer reserves the room. The wal
Positive: The lobby is nice., the staff was polite and quick response. I like the walk in shower, Tv, and bathroom design.. Negative: The housekeeper entered my room forcefully without acknowledging himself the door popped open while we were watching tv on the bed!!(that was scary) leaks in the ceiling and over tv!! (Dangerous) lining was dirty and stained, used..
So they put me in room 218 the door was broken into.to close it for my own protection I had to forced shut. also the shower was malfunctioning and so I let management know but they said they had no other Rooms. So my shower felt just a toilet duvet to my face. The location is convenient because it is near the LIRR but there seems to be commotion in the hallway, a day or night. I’ve seen the police here twice and I’ve only had to book a room here three times. Never again
I have never been so upset about the overall experience I had a hotel in my life. Initially I was excited I found this unique looking hotel in the Queens Village. Whenever I can I try to find a hotel that is not a chain. The hotel is in a newly renovated building, so that was a welcome surprise as well.||However, any good feelings I had about Casa Azul was destroyed that night as my elderly father-in-law and I tried to sleep. The hotel was extremely noisy most of the night. People were pounding on doors, laughing loudly, scream, and yelling. We barely got any sleep. The next morning, I asked the front desk person if we could get a refund if we checked out early. (I had unfortunately prepaid, a mistake I will never make again on Hotels.com.) I was denied. They didn't seem to care about the
Staff greeted me by name and gave quick directions to nearby cafés, which set a relaxed tone for the stay. The room was compact but spotless, with a comfy mattress and a big window that let in morning light; small kitchenette came in handy for late snacks. The building feels calm, like a quiet guesthouse rather than a chain hotel. Rate was very reasonable-excellent value for a clean, friendly place close to town.
