Decor inside the room is a bit outdated with the curtains, pelmut coverings and bedcovering from an era long ago. Also antique looking furniture, guess some people like this style. Bathroom looked like it had a fairly recent renovation, clean and tidy. Shame about the tissue/paper left in the toilet unflushed upon checking into the room. Bed sheets are quite thin and seem old, could feel itching of the blanket between the sheets. Hopefully these get replaced soon. Price suited us for one night on the road.

A good hotel for the price. The guy at the reception handled all our questions quickly and efficiently. Our check-in and stay went smoothly. The room was nice; perhaps the curtains and bedspreads could use an update, but everything else was excellent. It’s clear that a small renovation was done recently, the room has its own independent heating, and the interior is very cozy.

We absolutely loved this charming hotel . The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. It’s a large room with sitting area and king bed . The bathroom is brand new has everything you need with nice toiletries. It has a nice area for coffee and tea and fridge and microwave in the room which is a big plus. It was very clean and organize and quiet . We had the most relaxing night in beautiful Carmel by the sea. We will definitely book this hotel again soon. Check in was quick and very professional. We loved it !Parking on premises is a big plus and proximity to restaurants and the heart of downtown.

Rose at the front desk did a great job in trying to help correct the many problems. First, the carpets were so dirty that my white socks were soiled black from all the dirt. I then made sure I wore shoes constantly. Two, the bed was not made every day, they missed 3 days. On one of those days I found housekeeping and asked them to make it up. Third, every time the television was turned off, the cable signal was lost. Rose came to help us 3 times and then showed me how to reset it. I had to undo a cable in the back of the tv every time for it to reset. Fourth, the pool and part of the property were under construction. This information should have been shared by your website. We stayed here for one night in Carmel with two kids. The blankets and bed cover were sandy and clearly not clean, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. A clean bed is the most basic expectation for any hotel, regardless of price or star rating, and this was not acceptable. There was only one receptionist on site. When I asked to speak with a manager, none was available, and despite being told there would be follow-up, I never received a response. I also emailed afterward and got no reply. This hotel seems to rely on its location and low price, but cleanliness and guest care are lacking. I’m sharing this so future guests can make an informed decision.
