Positive: the maid was meticulous Negative: noisy
We stayed one night and left the room for service, but when we returned and parked the next morning everything was great. When we arrived home and unpacked, we realized that 2 unused expensive sunglasses were missing. We were told by the reception that they could not find them in the room after we left. Parking is a problem -first come first serves
We really loved our stay there. The rooms exactly new but they are very aesthetic, cozy and have great atmosphere. The great bonus is your own fireplace in the room! We had a nice vacation there. A little far from the beach, but it’s a nice walk there.
Really bummed that my 91 year old Dad had such a hard time navigating the property. I know it's Autumn, but maybe don't put pumpkins and potted plants on the ground where people are trying to use the railings. Also, the shower is dark and the floor is slippery. I would not recommend this place for anyone with any vision or health issues whatsoever.
We’ve been visiting Carmel several times a year for decades. The charming town, warm people, exceptional wine and food, and peaceful atmosphere have made it our favorite place to escape to. |Over the years, we’ve stayed in many different inns and hotels, but for the past 20+ years, the Fireplace Inn has been our home base. While it’s never been the most modern or luxurious option, it had something more important: character, charm, and consistency. Each room was different, and we had our favorites depending on the size of our group or the length of our trip. It was comforting to be able to choose exactly what we needed and know exactly what we were getting.|Recently, as we prepared for another visit, I tried to book a stay through their new website but ran into issues.
