Carmel Cottage Inn

We had a wonderful stay at Carmel Cottage Inn, and the Home Port Cottage was absolutely perfect. The cottage is a charming one-story space that instantly feels warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved having a patio that opens right onto the rose garden — such a peaceful spot to relax. Home Port truly felt homey and cozy, making it an ideal place to unwind after exploring Carmel. The location couldn’t be better: just one block from the ocean and within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. If you’re looking for a comfortable, charming, and perfectly located place to stay in Carmel, Carmel Cottage Inn is a fantastic choice. We would absolutely stay here again.

The cottages are perfect in every way! The incredible art from local artists, and touches of decor that make them feel like home. The ocean is a short walk down the street, the weather was incredible. I love that the kitchen was equipped with anything we could need and treats to take home from the owner/management. We had an amazing weekend and cannot wait to come back!

Stayed here a while back. Love, love, love! The location of these cottages is in a prime location. If you need to get away, this is a perfect place to stay. Peaceful and quiet. Everything is walking distance from the 5 minute walk to the beach to the 15 minute walk to town. The cottage we stayed in was like a tiny cozy home that felt like you were in a disney movie. From the warm fireplace to the comfy bed! Our cottage had a small kitchen equipped with your necessary appliances. It was nice having a glass of wine and cheese plus crackers (from a local store nearby) at night to waking up with a cup of coffee to the fresh beach air. There's plenty of local eateries that are walking distance as well as driving distance. I am definitely going to be coming back. Thanks again!

We had a fantastic stay at Trade Winds Cottage! The rustic decor and thoughtful details made it feel like a true home away from home. The location was ideal—just a short walk to the ocean—perfect for morning and evening strolls. The peaceful outdoor space and beautiful garden added to the charm. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we can’t wait to return and explore more cottages at Carmel Cottage Inn!

These are the cutest cottages ever! This was our 5th time back, it's time to give credit where credit is due. Cheryl's top notch attention to detail and preservation reflect throughout each cottage. The excellent surrounding gardens stop you in your tracks and are worthy of a visit alone. This enchanting corner across from Carmel Beach will forever be an ideal retreat. We were here over Christmas and the cottages were perfectly appointed. ❤️ Thank you Cheryl, we cannot wait to be back!
