Cape Hatteras National Seashore - Frisco

We have been coming here for five years now. My family and I are from the country side in Ohio and have a farm. We love nature and the natural setting of the campgrounds is awesome. If you are looking for "urban style" camping with clean flat sites and no natural setting I would recommend going elsewhere. If you want to feel like you are enjoying a park without disturbing what was here thousands of years before you then I suggest this campground. You can access the beach by foot or by a four wheel drive vehicle. There are plenty of areas where the beach is closed for traffic if that is what you prefer. We like being able to take the truck onto the beach. It is rarely crowded and we head out in the morning and park. We spend the day on the beach fishing and swimming and since

Best beach for boogie boarding, surfing, relaxing - that I’ve found so far in the world! Beaches are clean, natural, not crowded. The pic with “lots of people” is the most crowded part of the beach!

The worst place I've ever experienced. To start with I'm a disabled vet and I let them know when I went on line and that what size rig and that I had a golf cart, that's how I get around. When arrived there was no one there, so we drove around found our spot and nope we were not fitting there. An hr later after calling someone called back cool. It sucked every thing off the road stuck you. Were cool made do that night. That morning 8am after sleeping all night with out electrical, park ranger Karen I thought the VA was rude she made the DMV look like Disney.. No golf carts it's registered, no trailer in the grass it's thorny said.. I didn't not care I was a Disabled Vet to her..move or get tickets.She acted like she was out of her mind We left forget that we paid for another night. Nope n

i only gave 4 stars cause of cold showers which is nothing to me anymore since I have a class A, the best place to park is almost to the exit going out, on the hill, my most rememberable is I was on the hill watched the stars and the lighthouse from there, then the moon came up and reflected on the water, all 3 can be seen where I said, and also I guess you are farther away from people. picture midnight long exposure.

Absolutely gorgeous! Nice little boardwalk out to the beach. Not crowded. Just lovely.
