Candlewyck Inn, Grove, Ok

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were comfy in the Honeymoon Suite. It is the only place in the resort with a lake view besides the large house. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. The staff were pleasant. Parking is a bit tight. Even though we had a marked, reserved spot in front of our house, the marina staff parked there, anyway. We had 2 Cockroaches in our room. When we mentioned this upon checkout, the Manager came out of her office and promised that she would have it treated, right away. Would consider going back, in the future.

I was super excited for our stay here. Everything was pretty great would of given 5 stars with a few changes. They definitely need to upgrade the mattress. Move the mini fridge off the floor and provide disposable dishes. You have to take the dishes they provide up into the bath area to wash them. I loved the jetted tub but it was extremely awkward to get in and out of. Nice hot tub on deck but I didn't know if others had used the water in it so I opted out. Wifi was out so we had to go into town to use our cell phones. In the summer this is a very family oriented place and kids would love it.

One of the worst family vacations we have ever taken. I read reviews and did my due diligence when picking this place but I was lied to with false advertisement. I’m a small business owner and I NEED WIFI AND/OR PHONE SERVICE wherever I go, this is how I make a living. This place had neither. Advertisement said rooms had hot tubs but neither room had USABLE hot tubs. One hot tub was empty and came with a frog. The second hot tub had water dripping from the top deck and lukewarm water. Upon check out, I was asked to strip the beds, gather up all trash and towels, and wash the dishes. I do not recommend this place and will not be back.

Our family drove from Columbia, Missouri to Grove, Oklahoma to stay the weekend at candlewyck for a family reunion. Upon arrival we notice a strange smell in our duplex but it looked clean overall so we ignored it and went on with our evening. At bedtime I realized the foldout couch didn't have any bedding so I went to the front office to get what I needed. When I walked out of the front office with my 2 year old nephew we stepped into a huge puddle and felt something wet dripping down on us, we soon realized it was urine from a large poodle peeing on the deck directly above us! I was in shock and discussed but we were headed to shower and go to bed so I just let it go. Sadly this was only the begininng of our hell stay at candlewyck! We took a weekend trip to get away and this was perfect. Super clean. Tucked away back in the woods and is a perfect place to relax and really get away from it all. We will be coming back asap.
