Candlewood Suites Olive Branch (Memphis Area) by IHG

I walk into my two bed room and the coffee pot is dirty and filthy, there is a extremely bone dry used coffee packet inside the coffee machine. And there seems to be crusted residue on the coffee machine itself. There is rust on the nightstand when I stay the last time and there is some disgusting residue all over the dispensers that they lock. They tried to make me charged for the room again because they immediately gave it to somebody else even though I use my Reward Points which I entrusted for them to use for me to stay here. So the staff here are decent but not 100% the toilet is pre-clogged and I couldn't flush it.

Positive: The place is not safe. There is one staff working and her ability to attend to guests? concerns is limited. Negative: There was an altercation between a man and woman that made me feel unsafe upon arrival. I was not able to get immediate assistance because the only clerk was away assisting other guests. I did not feel safe at this establishment and left.

The staff was very helpful in showing me how to use the stove. It was very easy, however, to disengage the stove while cleaning the stovetop. There was ample silverware, but there was no can opener. The hotel was close to a Wal-Mart that stocked groceries. The TV did not come with a remote control, but the staff supplied me with one. Once again, they were very courteous and polite.

All in all a good experience no issues, was here just 1 night was going to stay longer but couldn't. Fun and games or trying to get laundry done I was able to get done some Saturday then finish Sunday morning, unfortunate issue is people leave there stuff in the machines. There's 3 floors off rooms so that's a lot of people here you have 2 machines for everyone, I've been to some candle wood where they have machines on every floor that's nice when that happens. Room itself was comfortable everything worked. Will look forward to coming back another time.

While the rooms are clean and fairly well maintained. Their rooms are not very modernized. The kitchenette is serviceable, but the policy of not having continental breakfast is as absurd as it is cheap. Their TV selection leaves much to be desired and the "free laundry" amenity is pathetic to say the least.
