Candlewood Suites Miami Intl Airport - 36th St, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here this past Jan. 27th to Jan. 29th. Our stay here was excellent! Front desk staff very welcoming and professional. Management was also very welcoming and communicated with me very well throughout our stay. Room was very clean! No odd odors. Bed sheets very clean and the bed was so comfortable for our sleep. Bathroom very clean and well stocked with enough clean towels. Even though we were so close to the airport, we didn't hear the planes. So I think the rooms have great sound barriers/protection. Nice clean kitchen, and stocked with a few clean items, plates, eating utensils, cups, glasses, dishes, pots and pans. Valet was great and really enjoyed talking to the valet personnel. This hotel was a welcome surprise. Very clean, updated, friendly service, excellent restaurant, full sized appliances in suite, fully equipped kitchen, ample storage. This hotel is perfect for the overnight cruise passenger and the short or longer term business stay. The staff only added to my pleasant experience.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. We had a voucher that was confirmed as valid by the hotel before booking. When we reserved our date, they requested a credit card only to “hold” the booking. Despite this, they went ahead and charged our card. This was never clearly explained, and it feels extremely misleading. If the voucher was valid and confirmed, there was no reason to charge us without proper transparency. Be careful when dealing with this hotel. Make sure you question everything and get written confirmation, because what they say and what they do may not match.

Positive: It was sooooo clean, from top to bottom. I always pre-clean and check my room for pest. I had Zero issues here. Also FREE laundry!! We went on a cruise and it was 35 to get 1 bag of laundry done on the ship. I thought about it but FREE is better. Negative: Parking was a little tight

Shuttle from the airport to the hotel but we didn't know it. The shuttle to the boat harbor is 15 per person. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The restaurant there (breakfast not included) was really good for dinner. The menu was confusing for mid westerners, but the food was excellent. Stir fry, Milanessa Napolotana fried steak and salad awesome. Wings were very good. Sweet chilli was a bit spicy and not sweet. Waitress Isabella was wonderful!! Hotel discount and military discount for the restaurant.
