Candlewood Suites Bloomington by IHG

Our stay was pleasant! Room was spacious and clean! The room had a nice kitchen area. Pool was closed for maintenance, laundry area was closed and treadmill didn’t work. No breakfast but free coffee. Only stayed for one night so didn’t bother us! Would stay here again!

Positive: Top floor, comfortable bed, very good reclining chair. We read a lot of recent bad reviews about this hotel after we booked, but possibly we were lucky and got a good room, and any supplies that were short were easily supplied at the front desk. Negative: The rug area of the bedroom floor (about 2/3 of the area) felt dirty like it had too much buildup of cleaning product, and if you walked around barefoot for more than a few seconds the soles of your feet became dirty. The key cards kept failing.

This was the worst nasty hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Service sucked called the desk 5 times before someone answered. Our door wouldn’t latch shut called the front desk they did nothing about it. The room smelled like mold. Plates, pots, silverware, bowls, all nasty dirty. The ceiling was dripping water from the room above us. The AC unit above us was leaking. Stayed 3 days had to go to front desked to get towels and toilet paper, paper towels. For the amount of money that was spent it was horrible. Never will I ever go back to that place.

This Candlewood has very clean rooms, well stocked rooms, comfy beds and very accommodating staff. They offer the best stocked pantry with everything you can imagine and better than any of the other Candlewoods I’ve stayed with. I happened to forget a set of keys on my most recent trip, I called the front desk and the staff notified Dawn the Manager and she quickly replied to me and told me she would gladly mail them to me at no additional cost. I’m so appreciative of this incredible customer service since the keys are so important. I will use this location for my hotel needs when I return for business.

Our stay at the Bloomington (Indiana) Candlewood Suites was a great one! We love this particular chain, and the Bloomington location did not disappoint. Our room was furnished with comfortable beds, a nice sleeper-recliner, and ample counter/table space! Very convenient and enjoyable. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful (: Our travel plans changed day-of, and Nathan saved the day for us; excellent customer service at the front desk, thank you, Nathan!!
