Camp Hi-Sierra

Wonderful Scout summer camp experience with absolutely amazing staff. Unique and impressive activities including astronomy (has its own observatory!), climbing (has its own climbing tower!), archaeology (has its archeological site from old wood mill), welding, plumbing, archery range, rifle and shotgun range, and so much more! Camp food was delicious and plentiful (my son can't stop raving about the pot roast). And worth repeating, the staff was incredible - each and every interaction with youth and adults alike was friendly, supportive, and top notch.

It had been about 30 years since I'd been to this place and it was like learning about it all over again. There have been a lot of infrastructure improvements over the years, and they have added a full observatory Aunt flushing toilets at each campsite. It is amazing to see what the collective power of an organization can accomplish. And that's just the facilities. The people are really what make up this camp and all of them care from the expert LED rock climbing experiences to bikes being available so you didn't have to bring your own. It all makes the 2 mile Dusty dirty road that you drive down from the main Street worth it.

I just spent three days camping at this place. The staff is very professional and friendly. Toilets and showers are very clean. There was a hiccup when I made the reservation, and I ended up with 2 camping sides by mistake. I requested a refund, and it was handled very professionally and quickly. I'll be back
