Had the best time with my family and two dogs. The staff was super nice and helped us at the front desk at any time. The pool was clean and not too overcrowded. The bathrooms located throughout the campground were also super clean. The beach was great as well. We could hear it from our campsite and had a nice breeze at all times. Campsite was big and hook ups were easy to access. Around the campground are great places to eat( like Neptunes) and entertain yourselves. All of the other people around us were friendly. The campground had daily activities throughout the week like bingo, ice cream social, tie dye, and even a corn hole tournament. You can stay on either the ocean side or sound side. The ocean side is more of a faster moving side, while the sound side faces the Pamlico bay where y

Overall, it was an "ok" place to stay. Nice to be close to the beach, easy access. Sunset view over the Sound is pretty. Laundry facilities were clean. The clubhouse was clean & nice with a pool & a hot tub. The park itself is nothing special to look at. We will not come back to Camp Hatteras. The dealbreaker is how our friends were treated. We arrived 2 days before they did. We did not reserve a specific site number but we did pay for a site in the "premium" section, closest to the beach. When our friends arrived, they asked for a site in or near our section only to be told that they should have prepaid a $25 upcharge for a specified site if they wanted to be near us. We didn't know where the campground was going to put us - they don't give you a site number with your reservation. The em

We traveled with a group of 4 couples. Two in Class A's one in a Class C and a bumper pull. The staff got us into a great location that allowed us to set up a nice place to enjoy. Was breezy which was nice and only issue last day was a few bugs. Beach was easy to reach and nice. Outdoor pool was perfect and great place to meet other and have a nice conversation. Golf Cart rental right down the street. Lots of day trips to the Hatteras island via ferry...very nice and lots of places to eat within a short distance.

Wife loved the easy beach access She would grab a cup of coffee and just go wander the beach. Easy access and large lots. We stayed in the blue area I think. One street off the beach access. Edit for the owner: The reason I left it at 4 stars was the fact that we were there in March or April and the cost was almost equal to what it would be to rent a 3 bedroom 2 bath house in the same area. We camp in many areas and these are some of the highest prices we see so we go other places in the off season. We enjoy the park but the cost is a concern.

I’ve never written a negative review but after choosing Camp Hatteras RV resort in Rodanthe based on YouTube video reviews that painted it in such a positive light, I feel compelled to share that wasn’t our experience unfortunately. While the location is great, and some of the staff were very nice, management may want to consider some of their policies and the consistency in how they enforce them. We called the day before our arrival to see if we could get a spot near our friends who had arrived a couple of days earlier. They had reserved the same type of sight at the same rate as we had. The campground was nowhere close to being full and we were told if we had wanted to be near our friends we should have paid the $25 fee in advance to reserve a specific site. She then told us that next ye
