Camp Golden Pond

We reserved Unit II for a weekend in mid-September. Multiple cabins & bunks had a large amount of mouse droppings, leaves and acorns when we arrived. We tried to sweep everything out and get on with the weekend. After dark, girls were lowering a window shade when a mouse nest (mama and babies) fell on their bunk/sleeping bag. We looked through other cabins, hoping to move the girls since they were very upset, but found a mouse in the rafters of another. By which point it was clear that no one was going to sleep that weekend. We called the camp contact and where told "well, you are in nature" and had no other options to move sites/cabins, so had to pack up 12+ girls and supplies and head home at 10pm. What a magical place. Attended one of the Adult Enrichment Weekends to gain skills to help my Girl Scout troop better enjoy the outdoors. The trainers were so knowledgeable and the camp is one that I will definitely be returning to with my Girl Scout troop and probably also as a family.

Beautiful place to hold events or get some rest and relaxation!! Rent a canoe or kayak for a nice paddle on Lake Louise!!!

Traveled an hour and a half to spend an amazing weekend here with friends and my kids. Stayed in rustic units, condition as expected, and would absolutely stay again. Already planning to return again, possibly in different units depending on the size of our group. Thank you for keeping your camp alive and sharing it with us!

Great place. Our troop enjoyed the instructed canoeing and archery. Both instructors were super friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in Palmer. It had a great covered porch area with 3 picnic tables and still lots of room for camp chairs.
