Camano Island State Park Marine Trail campsite

I've been coming to this state park for over 35 years 🫶 Such a beautiful area filled with tons of wildlife, hiking trails, geocaching, camp sites, an outdoor shower... it's got it all! A must of you're in the area looking for somewhere to spend the day!

This campground has very comfortable sites . The tent sites are leveled and prepared very well. Some places (for example No. 14) are located so that there is a beautiful view of the ocean directly from the tent, from the cliff where the tent camp is located. I was disappointed that the short path from the campground to the beach was closed and we had to take the long path. Firewood is prohibited for now.

Use to be a friendly place to go to watch the night sky since everywhere else in this state has light pollution… the state park ranger immediately stops and treats you like your a terrorist plotting something evil, chasing you off like it’s his property.. I’m a honest tax paying citizen everything is all legal with me and my car… being treated like a criminal really pissed me off, I pay this guys salary, he’s there to serve and protect state park goers and the park itself.. not treat people like they stumbled on to Area 51… this states government has gotten way to cocky… in this situation, I do not respect law enforcement when it’s overbearing and unreasonable

This is an excellent park. There is an interpretive trail with explanations of the woodlands ecosystem, a rocky beach area with fine picnicking, and nice hikes with good elevation changes. Clean restrooms too.

This was a pleasant beach to enjoy. Great views and nice areas to sit. There are brand new bathrooms to use along with a boat launch. It is a place I'd come back to in the future.
