Camanche Lake Blue Oaks Campground North Shore

First time here and had a great time with the family. The lake was warm and not too dirty. We rented a boat and enjoyed a day on the water. Later we had a nice campfire and a lot of laughs! There are bathroom and showers close by. Bathroom was clean showers could use some work but the water was warm. Right now there is an alcohol ban and personal water craft ban but you can still bring a tube or floaty. The campsites are a little close but everyone was friendly.

I LOVE the new rules, and find the people giving one star reviews because were kicked out for not following them pretty funny! You all may have an alcohol problem if you cannot drink for two nights. You may want to take a good hard look at your priorities. Kids having fun or alcohol wants. I’d pick the kids. Sooo many reviews ranting and raving and then oh one of our people had alcohol. Or we had alcohol but it wasn’t open or the bugs soo many bugs oh and we got kicked out BECAUSE WE HAD ALCOHOL. You all need to reflect. It is posted EVERYWHERE! On their website, when you drive in, in your receipt, ALL OVER the news! I have loved these new changes. No idiot boaters screaming their engines across the lake at 6 am. No more drunkos slobbering and shouting in the middle of the night. No more

we were here in the off season, so there were hardly any other campers. The sites were nicely spaced and had easy access to the lake, as well as a playground in the easily walkable day use area. The bathrooms are large and clean, and there are lots of coin operated shower stalls. The only down side is that very few of the sites were level, making pitching a tent (and leveling a trailer) difficult.

This was my first ever camping trip, originally only 2 days stretched into 11 days because we loved it so much. The entire staff here is amazing. They all go above and beyond their duties. The Rangers are super nice and extremely helpful, clean bathrooms most of the week. Weekends are packed and the bathrooms get dirty fast. The Marina store has everything you need and the staff here is also amazing!! I can't wait to go back!!! Thanks for an awesome first time camping experience!!

Camanche Lake is a solid go-to spot for a relaxing outdoor getaway that doesn’t require going too far off the grid.
