Calipatria Inn and Suites

This place is unfit for animals let alone humans. Completely disgusting. Room reeked like cigarettes, bugs in the room (dead and alive), carpet had burns and mystery stains. Left immediately and got a different hotel. If you value your health go somewhere else.

Called about a room and was told to come by, there is availability. Office door didn't open properly, should have been our first clue. Got a room with 2 beds and before unloading everything I went to make sure it was suitable. There was dried blood on the sheets of one bed. Ugh. So I got out my UV light to see if it was worth just sleeping on the bed but in a sleeping bag. The UV light revealed all layers, cover to mattress, was stained extensively with signs of bed bug activity (none actually seen since it was daytime.) Went to office and spoke with a woman, and she said we could have one of the suites for the same price. I asked if I could inspect it first, she said yes. Good location, terrible everything else. The room was dirty with stained floors and sheets, the shower was gross, and the lobby smelled as you entered. There was a half full bottle of liquor in one of the drawers. The chest of drawers itself was covered in white specks. The fridge and freezer had literal mold in it. The site advertised (the hotel site AND expedia) that the pool was open, citing "pool closure thru June 1" this was after the time of my stay, so I assumed the pool would be open. Apparently it has been closed for years. I was supposed to stay here for two nights and stayed just long enough to book another hotel. My friend and I went to the lobby and asked to check out and for a refund, and were met with "well, if you had only been here for five minutes, I would give you a refu

I wished I had read other people’s reviews before staying here. Like others have said it looks nice from the pictures but this was absolutely the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Dead spiders smashed on the walls, live spiders in the corners, curtains were hanging off wall, stains on the carpet, painting chipped on the walls, holes in the wall, chairs ripped and cracked, the couch was covered with a sheet to cover stains, didn’t want to touch anything in there and the dead bolt to lock the door was broken. If that wasn’t enough, the room reeked like cigarettes oh and tv didn’t work either. Avoid at all costs, but I will say it’s a hotel we will probably never forget 😆

Terrible experience. Decided we wanted to try out a new motel for fun. When we drove up at 9pm the whole place was deserted, besides one lonely truck. The manager gave us a room on the first floor and it was absolutely disgusting. The whole room reeked of cigarette smoke, there were stains on the carpets and bedding. The bedding wasn’t washed and had dirt and hair in it. The floor wasn’t vacuumed either, so giant clumps of dust and dirt were built up everywhere. It seemed like someone had been living in there for a long time. We decided to give him the benefit of the doubt (our mistake) and change rooms, he gave us one upstairs. That room was in identical condition, short of it not smelling like a casino full of farts and cigarettes. It was dirty as well, I found the previous tenants eyegl
