Cajun Campground

I went to meet a friend who was camping there. It’s very clean, each campsite has a fire ring, and there’s a pavilion and a playground. There’s a lake for fishing and a swimming pool, which is closed for the season, but it’s beautiful. There’s a lake are also cabins for rent, but we didn’t rent one.

Campground is a country style place with friendly owners and attentive service. Not a fancy place but they have all the necessities. Great place to stay during Mardi Gras. Owner provides some meals and entertainment. Very laid back and relaxing atmosphere.

It was fun. I would not recommend the lofts as the stairs to loft are too steep and straight up. They are hazardous no matter how careful you are. We had a friend who broke her ankle coming down.

This is located close to road and train tracks. Both are very quiet at night. Nice park with pond and benches to stop and enjoy. Saw people walking their dogs around the entire pond. Did not use the facilities. Has a pool, for me, to cold for swimming.
