BWCA Campsite #663

This campsite worked great for our group of 8 (3 adults and 5 children under age 12). We had 3 tents (two 5-person and one 3-person). We had the two larger tents up near the fire grate and the smaller tent on lower ground near the water (right side when facing the site from the water). The spacing wasn’t roomy, and the ground wasn’t perfect for the three tents, but it worked adequately. The aesthetics of this site were great. The tall white pine is a beautiful feature, the swimming area is massive, and the site is cozy in a pleasant way. Being situated on a point, we had a wonderful breeze flowing through most of the time, and we wondered if that contributed to the mosquitos being much less of a nuisance than typical trips.
