Bunkhouse Inn

Wow, what a great experience. Arrived late in the evening. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and accommodating. She shared fishing stories with us and talked about beautiful fish mounts on their office walls. The rooms were very clean, had all the necessities and comfortable bed with great smelling sheets. Also, had security cameras so we didn't have to worry about our boat and truck. Great service at small town tavern to get something to eat, which the hotel owner directed us to. We would definitely stay there again when passing through and would recommend you check it out if in Isabel, SD.

Stayed here with family and friends while antelope hunting. We actually stayed in a house the owners had just a block from the hotel cause the hotel was full. The hotel itself looked very cute. The house we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. Perfect for hunters. There were 4 of us and the house had plenty of room. We were able to sit outside at night and BBQ. The owners were very accommodating. They had a set up behind the hotel you could clean your antelope and a water set up to clean up. Our truck was low on air the morning we left and the owners had an air compressor and filled us up with air. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owners!

Stopped here on my trip from Bismarck to the Black Hills, and I'm glad I did. Its a very cute hotel in the middle of nowhere. The lady was very friendly who checked us in and the rooms were extremely clean and quiet. Definitely a good place to crash for the night!

Best "mom & pop" motel I've ever stayed in. This motel is a gem. They consistently get new mattresses and bedding. The pillows were better than any big hotel chain. I was tempted to buy one of then from the owner. AC in room 7 can be left on at night and it doesnt shut off. Perfect for a fan sleeper such as myself. The shower left a little to be desired. Cheap plastic box with a pipe sticking out of the wall with a crappy shower head. But this is standard fare for hwy motels like this.

A few years ago, while heading to the Harnys Peak trail, I stopped by this place with my dog, Molly. As it was getting late, the owner graciously allowed us to stay overnight. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. My late father also stayed here on my recommendation during his travels. As long as I’m in the region, I’ll continue to visit and support this wonderful establishment. P.S. Molly is now 15 years old. Though she’s slowing down, she still has a passion for camping and adventure.
