Buffalo Ridge Resort and Spa

Buffalo Ridge’s bar area recently underwent a facelift. I’m not a meat eater, but my husband is; I was excited about the new menu, as it catered to both of us. Their innovative charcuterie board came with an array of specialty cheeses and meats, along with homemade flatbread. In addition, the charcuterie a la carte menu was a fun way to pick and choose what we liked. Their thin crust pizzas were especially tasty … also with a variety of toppings. I especially like the salad choices. My husband’s panini sandwich was filled with a generous amount of grilled chicken and provolone cheese on homemade artisan bread. To add to the food, the staff (including head chef and owner) were extremely friendly. Who knew you could find a restaurant with 5 star dinning in Gary, South Dakota?

I had a spa weekend with my sisters at Buffalo Ridge & Spa and it was absolutely wonderful — a relaxing, rejuvenating escape! Patricia and her massage therapist were both excellent, giving top-notch treatments that left me feeling pampered and refreshed. The facility itself is beautiful and peaceful. The chef served us delicious, quality food and also made fantastic margaritas! I highly recommend Buffalo Ridge to anyone looking for quality spa services and a serene getaway. I’ll definitely be back

An Incredible Experience from Start to Finish The entire experience at Buffalo Ridge was absolutely outstanding. The food alone is worth the visit — the salmon salad was hands down the best salmon I’ve ever had, the steaks were incredible, and the cocktails were perfection. The spa experience truly took everything to the next level. I had a Thai massage with Patricia — my first Thai massage — and I get massages often. I went in with significant hip issues and very tight hip flexors, and within just 30 minutes I felt real relief. Patricia is truly gifted. I also enjoyed a mud and seaweed wrap along with a facial from Teresa, who was absolutely wonderful. I treated myself to Buffalo Ridge day spa for my birthday. It was amazing! They customized the entire experience and every service was high-quality and tailored to me. It’s in a very small town, which I loved because I wanted to get away and just relax. The location was beautiful and peaceful. Their new chef catered my lunch for me and his food was amazing! The whole experience was above and beyond my expectations and I will definitely be back.

A fantastic place to get married! We had our wedding over Independence Day weekend, and loved the atmosphere of the Gary Days celebration surrounding the venue. Complete with fireworks and classic car shows! A serene rural setting with plenty to do (basketball, volleyball, bison spotting) provided a quiet place for everyone to gather without the distractions of a bustling city. We loved having family and out of town guests stay in the hotel, and the family suite was a perfect place for the bridal party and friends to sleep, eat, gather, and get ready.
