Buffalo / I-40 / Exit 143 KOA Journey

Staff was extremely helpful, spotless campground, everything raked and in working order. Full hookups with great water pressure and nice environment. Close to the highway with easy access and Keith helped us by giving us an easy in and out so we did not need to disconnect. It’s an old park but well maintained so the pull throughs are a little short. Easy check in. Our paperwork was in the after hours box. Patio sites look very nice but we were only there one night and it was cold and raining.

We stayed in a cabin. It was the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. The “kitchen” had no sink. The walls were primed but not painted. The window sills were filled with dead bugs. It was advertised as sleeping for 4—-and it was, but there were only 2 chairs to sit in. A rope was glued to the ceiling as trim. The entrance to the bathroom had no threshold. The shower door was filthy. We did not stay the 2nd night of our reservation.

We LOVED this KOA. Bathrooms alone are worth staying there! Very nice private and large bathrooms and showers. Showers had the perfect pressure. I stayed in an RV and was able to stay near the cabin my group rented and they LOVED the deluxe cabin. So comfy and very well done. Very easy to get in and out. Will stay here again when heading through Tennessee for sure. Very friendly staff as well.

Very nice park, with plenty of trees. No frills. Utilities were good. WiFi was very good. Office closed at 5:00, so can’t comment on the staff. Location was convenient to interstate, which also means fairly loud road noise. Overall a good overnight stop.

Fine for a night and it was a convenient location which is why we chose it. Reason I gave it an 4 is because of the highway noise is much louder than some of the reviews make it out to be. I thought it would die down the later it got, but it was constant noise all night that we barely slept. The bathhouse was updated and very clean.
