Budget Inn Nassawadox Hwy 13

Chose this Budget Inn by Oyo on Hwy 13 in Nassawadox, VA, as we needed a pet-friendly stopover for a night. On Dec 25, I made a reservation online directly at the Budget Inn website for Dec29. The confirmation in the system showed Dec28, I immediately cancelled. If I hadn't noticed that, I would have been charged for a no-show and not had a reservation when we arrived on Dec29. Rebooked and same thing happened. Called the motel directly. Very abrupt man assured me that Dec29 was showing in system. Ended up having to cancel travel plans and reservation on Dec27 at approx 11am, more than 48 hours prior to planned arrival. Refunds for both reservations requested. Mr. Patel is very nice and accommodating. We stayed two nights while on a fishing trip. The hotel was able to accommodate our boat parking and other boaters. Rooms are basic, but clean. Water pressure amazing. It was quiet no noise. Will stay there again.

This is going to be a really long review, as I did my review and then wanted to add something additional and it deleted the first one so I am going to try again and combine them both. Booking my room was a bit of a hard time but I am the one who caused the problem, I booked it online and then added the OYO app and somehow managed to double book myself. After just a few minutes on the phone with the hotel they were able to fix my problem, and I only had one room. Since I was going to be there by myself, I definitely didn’t need two rooms. Check in was really easy got my key card and my tv remote. When I walked into my room it was incredibly clean, and smelled like Clorox cleaner, the dry kind not a bottle of bleach. So I needed a places to stay for a wedding that was in cape Charles. I would not even recommend a night here….. The guy at the desk was kind but this hotel is just unclean and nasty. I have never stayed in a hotel I felt I needed to deep clean before sleeping and luckily I had supplies in my car…. But if it weren’t the only hotel around available and not 11:30 at night I would have gone somewhere else. I had it for two nights and only stayed the 1. It would be a great option. Place is terrible I wish I had taken pictures before I got there, burn holes in the sheets, ashes on on the floor, I didn't complain because I paid very little for the room but nonetheless place is trash. Owner then accused me of smoking and leaving burn holes in the sheet, continuously used the term "you people" and demanded I pay for smoking in the room. The room smelled like smoke and looked like someone had smoked in it prior to me coming in. 0/10 would not recommend
