Budget Inn-Menard

If you plan to stay there, sleep in your car. I have never had this bad of a room in my life. Aminities are sparce and washcloths were like paper towels. The bed was comfortable so at least the sleep was good. That is the only thing that was remotely acceptable.

After a really long day of driving, my husband and I pulled into the Budget Inn in Menard, because we just couldn’t go any further. We did not have very high expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised! The woman in the office was very kind. The rooms were clean and quiet, we had everything we needed, and it was a safe, cozy, convenient place to spend the night. Furthermore, when we left the next morning, we had driven another six hours before I realized I had left my watch in the motel room. The very kind owners mailed the watch to me within a week. This little motel may not look like much on the outside, but it is clean and quiet, the beds are comfortable, the water is hot, and it has everything a traveler needs. I would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend it!

Location is off the main road- very convenient. Rooms rent for $65. A night and maybe worth $30-40. In 4 years, nothing has changed. Room 110 is best room as no holes in walls or door. **There has NEVER been a bug in 4 years** They have cable, ask for instructions and WiFi code at check in. Pink sheets (a positive) and 1950's fitted corners bedspread. The AC actually works & they have a stand up electric fan , sofa & coffee table. A fridge & microwave that work!! AC unit in a wall that doesn't make it cool by bed. It has sticky carpet, don't take off your shoes. I try not to touch anything. The bathroom has a yellowed tub with cracks and look yucky. The bathroom floor is so wet and humid or stinky. I lay their small thin white towels down. We bring 2 sheets, our own pillows and co

The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. This is an older roadside motel, and the decor, and construction reflects that, but so does the cost as it is fair. Pet friendly. Rooms with adjoining doors. Window unit high above sink with standing oscillating fan in the room kept it cool in 100 degree heat. I found a pair of pants in my room when I came in, and the ice machine was broken. They live on property, and gave me a cup of ice, when I asked about the machine. They did let me make reservations by phone without payment. You can pay by cash or credit card. $5/day pet fee. $50/day room fee. They are much better than motel 83, and far friendlier and than the lady owner of the Hilltop motel and less expensive. There are only 3 motels in this small town, and they are all on the main

I apologize from the bottom of my heart to the Budget Inn Motel in Menards for my harsh review on Google. I understand that this young couple is working hard to succeed in their new business during difficult times. I should have lifted them up in prayer instead of tearing them down with my words. I ask for the Lord's forgiveness and blessings upon this business, that they may prosper and continue to serve their customers with love and dedication, Amen.
