Budget Inn, Hwy 41

The Budget Inn in Barnesville is one of the cleanest places you can stay in the area. The rooms are very well kept, and you can tell the staff takes pride in maintaining the property. It is the most expensive hotel in Barnesville at about $70 a night, and the price stays the same no matter how long you stay, but they make up for it with their kindness and hospitality. One thing that really stood out was the staff. The lady who does room service was incredibly kind—she even brought my wife and me halwa, an Indian dessert, after learning that my wife is Indian. That was such a thoughtful gesture, and we really appreciated it. The hotel is indoors, which keeps traffic down in the hallways, so it stays pretty quiet. Terrible experience. The furniture is worn and gross. The entire place smells of cigarettes and weed. There was snot or some nasty green substance smeered on the bathroom wall. The cover for the exhaust fan in the bathroom was missing. A handrail in the stairwell was held together with duct tape. The entire establishment is underkept and filthy.

Had the same room each time we came yet bed and sheets still had a spot (same spot each time) that smelled like a cat freshly peed on it, a lot of cracks in the wood and walls has holes in spots and brown stains on the almost all base boards and walls. Our room is separated from our neighbors by a door that has one of the two beds in our room up against it so it can’t be accessed. Mini fridge doesn’t work well at all, all groceries inside spoiled. Wifi is not the best. Trash outside behind a fence , like all piled up. Neighbors extremely loud with music & yelling but it was hard to tell if they were loud or if the door being a door and not a wall was the issue. Asked for more towels and was given 1. Had to take my trash. Smelled like weed and smoke even though it was supposed to be non smoking hotel. No conditioner. The ice machine was broken. No breakfast.

First room tv didn’t work, sink did not drain and the smell was horrible. Second room, a little better, but stains all over bedspread. No coffee pot or hair dryer. Ice machine broken.
