Budget Inn Belvidere, IL

My family had a death in the family and needed a place for some out of state relatives to stay. I booked them a room here over the phone. 30 min after they checked in they checked out. Not only was the shower curtain duck tapped together, the outlet covers were broken, sheets and towels were stained, spots on wall that looked like blood and dead cockroaches. In office when they asked for a refund which they were denied they even saw live cockroaches. The front desk people were extremely rude. I would never ever book here again. Don’t think they are even related to budget inn franchise just using their name. We were already upset due to passing of immediate family but to deal with this on same day made it even worse. I work at the Chrysler plant , I stayed at this little motel , Very well ran establishment. Very accommodating! Pet friendly.Love a place where I can take my dog!! Good WiFi. Clean. Comfy. And staff all have good attitudes and are very helpful! Would totally recommend to anyone that this is the place to stay when you're needing a place to stay for awhile. Love that they have Fridge and Microwaves.Had a wonderful stay, very friendly people and had a very peaceful and relaxed time.

I stayed at this motel for a week while I was working in Rockford. It was perfect for work. I brought my two dogs and cat. My animals were very content with all the parks and forests that we were able to walk in. Close to all sorts of large parks and forests. Granted, it is not a five star hotel that you'll have a mint waiting for you on your pillow but; it served it's purpose well. The room was a little small but; the management was so helpful and accommodating. They told me I could have a larger one when it became available. But, it seemed to work out regardless. I will definitely return to this motel in the future if I have any more contracts in this area. If I had stayed in Rockford then: I don't think I would have been treated so nicely. The only pro is that the staff is very friendly. My mom and I stayed in room 116 and we believe the beds had bed bugs because we found a whole bunch of bugs that resemble them on both of our beds. The microwave had bugs in it. The ground had dead bugs in it. The toilet is so very old that it can't flush easily. There was 3 plugs and one of them was taken up by the retro tv and the other two were in such inconvenient spots that we had trouble let charging things. One of the outlets was right next to the fridge and the bottom plug was broken and the outlet cover was loose. The other outlet was located right next to the bathroom and that outlet was about 5 feet above the ground. The shower wasn't cleaned and nor was the mini fridge. I didn't even want to shower here because of how disgusting

Spent a couple nights here. Was my mistake not to check out the room before paying. Paid first and there are no refunds. Place was dirty. Mold on carpet by baseboard and toilet. Lmao said I got the good room? Serious? I have pictures. Forgot about writing a review till I was checking out photos and came across them. After the two nights I paid for I spent my last night in Rockford. This place is a joke in our house hold. Thankfully a friend of mine had an extra can of air freshener to help us make it through 2 nights. Luckily we were busy and didn’t spend much time there!
