Budget Host Inn (Mel-Dor Motel)

If your looking for a budget friendly place to stay this is it. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was nice large and clean as well. My only issue was that the tv seemed to be sporadicly working. I am one of those that can’t sleep without it on and it seems they shut off the reception in the rooms. It is a small complaint but it was somewhat surprising to not be able to access the weather in the morning. The traffic on the road outside seemed light during the evenings but by 6 am it was quite loud. If your a solo traveller it’s not a bad place to lay your head down for a night

I am giving the review two stars instead of one because the family that runs it is very nice and responsive. If it weren’t for the fact that the stay was nonrefundable, I would have left after one night. There were roaches. There was no maid service for a 13 day stay. There was constant noise through the night from other guests, possibly due to prostitution or drugs or both. The rate is very inexpensive and it was close to Boyertown, where I was visiting. However I never felt safe there, and would have gladly spent more for some service and safety.

We checked in probably around 9pm. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The motel is older, but super quant. The rooms were dated, but very clean. Clean beds, clean towels and clean bathrooms. We were staying one night. Our room was in the rear of the motel and it was very quiet. We would definitely stop by again, a great value and extremely clean!!

Very good people! Nice clean surroundings. Nice clean rooms. Bathroom was clean bed was well done. Good to stay for a day or two. Sandwich shop at nearby gas station is good for quick food. There is microwave and fridge. You can get your food for yourself. Ample space for For parking. You can park your vehicle in front of your room. It pet friendly. Lot of space around for pets to roam around and play.

I never understand why you’re not allowed to leave zero stars because this place deserves none. The room was smelly, decrepit and roach infested, and the management should be ashamed. A perfect example of why these people have the reputation they do. At least the building itself was solid and we heard no noise from anywhere during our stay.
