Budget 8 Motel

Pro: they allow cats and dogs Con: the furniture should have been replaced years ago, repairs in the room were sloppy, was that mold or just deterioration around the tub?, someone else’s hair was in the newly made bed… and not their fault but the mildewy cat-piss smell of juniper is very strong in the neighborhood. After tax, it cost $105 for the night which was a lot to ask for such a run down room.

Family day trip to John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and needed a place to stay for the night before heading back home. Booked because it was very affordable. The exterior was a little run down but the room was pleasant, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were very sweet and accommodating. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Although not fancy, for the price, the budget eight motel was great! Dan was very hospitable. Had a great sleep. Atmosphere was clean and quiet. Don’t hesitate to book.

The room was clean and spacious, great water pressure, microwave and fridge for convenience and super friendly staff. The beds were comfy and there is a restaurant and bar right next door. We would stay here again

My room was clean. The furniture and such is just old and worn out. The TV was askew on the wall. The bed was firm but fine. I slept well. The bathroom was good with excellent water pressure. There is no art on the walls or anything to make it "cute", or welcoming. There does seem to be an attempt to fix it up by the paint smudges on the doorknobs and the uneven lines. All this being said, the price was good, and the owner/manager was very, very nice. I'd stay there again.
