Buckeye Beach Park

Absolutely don’t come to this place especially if you value cleanliness. The water not only stinks like sewage but stains everything it touches even after buying a water softener. Mind you that you had to change salt in once a week. But over flowing or missing dumpsters due to owner not paying bills. Grass so deep it needed weedeated if you yourself didn’t take care of it. ran down abandoned mobile homes from previous trailer park. Lack of gravel so you parked in mud holes. And god forbid you go home for the holidays you’d come back to the power shut off from above stated lack of payment and your food spoiled. Also broken up concrete pads if you had them I travel for a living and this was by far the worst experience I have had at a camp ground to top the cake was told to leave randomly dur

If I could put up red flags I would! Management is never on site and won't answer phone calls,emails,or texts. This place is a total dump and IS NOT Licensed to be a long term rv park. It's infested with mosquitos and ants. There's nasty sick cats running around. The water has high levels of lead in it and isn't safe to use to drink. The health department is shutting them down the end of June. Don't waste your money or time checking out this place!

First and foremost the office building is strictly for show. No phone calls will ever be answered.The owner will take your rent money even after knowing she is being forced to close due to non compliance regarding zoning and water quality issues.Dumpster’s are often not emptied or removed due to non payment. Maintenance is a joke ( but you can’t blame the guy he isn’t paid and works for $ off of his rent). If you want grass rather than mud chances are you’ll need to grow it your self then mow and trim it if you want it done on a regular basis. The water smells bad and will discolor everything it comes in contact with. Campers beware!! Especially full timers. This campground/rv park is very falsely advertised. Be prepared for - Your electric to be shut off due to non payment even though your rent is paid in full. -Maintenance to be anywhere from lax to non existent. Be prepared to maintain your own lawn whether you prefer to or not. - Toxic water. The EPA and county health department has shut it down due to toxic water however they are not complying. - No campground office. There's a building there for show though but it is never occupied. - No responses from owners addressing concerns, but they'll be sure you get your monthly invoice. - Trash laying around the premises and in canals making boating more difficult. - Dumpsters not being dumped because again the bill had not been paid.

Gtrat staff, friendly and easy going. Good experience overall. Enjoyed it so much, we decided to extend our stay.
