Customer Reviews
Very nice campground. Muzzle loader weekend was finishing up had quite a few rv/tent sites already reserved drove around the campground came to #10. #10 is one 2 or 3 sites that are first come. Fantastic site, many deer came through the campground during early morning and afternoon. Vault style toilets were ok, probably the heavy hunter usage made them a little poor, but still good. Temps were very nice this time of year 45 at night and 76 during the day. Super quiet, nice scenery and very close to Monticello. Elevation was like 8900 feet actually a light rain accompanied by some light sleet, quickly passed. Very enjoyable 2 nights. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed staying 2 nights at Buckboard Campground in June 2021. It was nice, peaceful, and quiet. Large campsites, plenty of firewood, pit toilets, water, stream and pond near by, and not many people around. We heard turkeys, but never saw any. We did have a few deer stop by and check us out, though.
It is a very nice, well-maintained campsite with enough space for a camper. Included are a fire pit and a table. Apart from the soothing babble of the stream nearby, it is very quiet. The campground is in the woods, which gives you shade on a hot day. There are toilets, drinking water stations and a garbage station. The price of $20 was not too high for this great campground.
Great location, clean and well maintained. Lots of good shade as well!
A quiet and beautiful campground with huge aspen trees! We went to Arches National Park & Canyonlands NP needles entrance from here and it was an easy drive to both
