A beautiful day trip. You can walk down to the dam @Brushy Lake. It isn't wheelchair friendly, the trail is partly paved though. The view is amazing 😍. Enjoy the walk, look at Brushy Lake from different angles.... A perfect experience. Don't get lost!! Mark your trail if you get off of the trail. There is a HUGE rock wall to your right while walking down to the dam.
Visited on New Year's, only a few other cars. There is a $3 fee per vehicle. Bathrooms are closed in the winter. We parked and walked the paved path to view the dam.
7/6/24- nice place, not busy at all. Trail was clean, bathrooms were open and very clean, followed a asphalt trail to the dam. There are some unpaved trails if you want to walk up near the large boulders. The dock needs a little repairing, nothing major and the parking area could use some gravel for a pot hole or two ( we drove a prius and was fine). It cost 3 or 3.50 per vehicle.
Love visiting this place. Views are beautiful and great walking trails. I just wish they would do something with the driveway area. Huge potholes. The restrooms were locked in the middle of the day and a parking lot full of people.
I love Brushy Lake Campground! So quiet
