The camping at Bushy Creek was wonderful. Be prepared to spray down or you will get bit by nats. The riding was great though! Very hilly and not a ton of rock compared to other places with this type of terrain. The trails were very well groomed and taken care of. Also a beautiful lookout and river crossing.
The south campground is a really nice shady campground at the west end. The east end has some newly planted trees but is mostly sunny. However some of those sites have sewer hook ups. Very nice shower house. Tie racks at every site. Water scattered through out the camp. Nice wash rack. Located by better trails than North camp.
This is the least nice of the 3 Brushy creek campgrounds (IMO) it seems the oldest and darkest. There are hitching posts for every site and they are plentiful. If I had the option I would choose the North campground if camping with a horse otherwise the Beach campground without a horse.
Very nice campground, awesome trails for the horses as well. Definitely will be coming back!!
Nice campground, the playground for the kids could use a bit of improvements, a few extra pieces of equipment, but overall a well kept campground!
