Water, sewer & electric are on the wrong side of the campers and water is right in front of where your camper steps come out. The campsite was big and very quiet. Nice people and dog friendly, plenty of places to walk inside campground. Borders a National Wildlife Refuge. You can kayak right from the campground but the creek entrance is shallow so we walked our kayaks through to the beautiful pond. We would stay there again. Only issue was that the hookups are wrong for campers to hook up to. Very good water pressure. Close to beaches. The permanent abandoned site next to us was an eyesore and they have a few abandoned campers here and there. Sewer hook ups are about a foot off the ground making dumping a hassle. There were bees under the gazebo flooring wood. The
Not only are there duck and geese and their excrement everywhere on the premises with odor in the air, the 1st night at 1:00 a.m. our electricity started tripping our surge protector. After several minutes of this my husband unplugged the 50 amp from the pole. The next morning after hooking 30 amp up it tripped on the 30 amp. The staff informed us it was our unit. We have made over 15 stopped on this trip so we had our doubts. We switched to generator power. After the second night of this we left, 1 day early. We have moved to our next location... surprise, surprise no problems at our end. I should have looked more closely at other reviews for this park before booking. We requested a refund to compensate for our terrible inconvenience but they didn't care or will they work with y
The couple that own the park are nice but too old to keep up with the necessary maintenance therefore it looks extremely run down and old. They only have one person to do yard work and maintenance in the height of tourist season. Would not go back or recommend. At $950 a month, I expect better (That's about what I pay in prime season in Florida at a RV Park that has a clean pool and daily community activities and a six-man maintenance team). The sign out front is so small along a major highway that you barely can find it even when looking for it. The dump pipe holes are so high out of the ground that it's harder to use them. The pool is always dirty like it needs vacuumed out and all the plastic furniture highly attracts bees. Down by the pond is duck/geese poop and mosquitoes. All the tre
Place sucks, tree limb fell on my camper and messed the top up, got a response I didn’t know when I just told them. Also went home for a week and they cut my water off possibly messing up my hot water heater. This campground wouldn’t get any stars but had to put at least 1. Pulled up to my site to this scene. They could care less about the people camping, it’s all about the money. Also need to cut some trees or a lot more people are going to have damage.
Long story short, my truck broke down the day before our trip so couldn’t tow, I was offered to rent a camper there when I called to cancel. So I went since my other friends were going to. The camper was a complete disaster and I was given a full refund, plus a little extra for my inconvenience. This place looks like it was really nice at one time. Right now it’s mostly a trailer park with a few camping spots out back for people passing through. The owners are elderly and have health issues and just can’t keep up with the work it entails..The one young man working there was very helpful and polite, but there’s only so much one person can do. The pool looked beautiful, but pretty much everything else is run down. There are a lot of old broken down trailers here and there that no one is us
