Brownsville Motel

Very clean, comfortable motel. I've stayed twice while visiting relatives in the area and can sincerely recommend the Brownsville Motel. The beds are very comfortable (no scratchy sheets!) and the rooms are clean. The small fridges with separate (working!) freezers and microwaves in the rooms are extremely useful for travelers. The rooms have operating windows (I love an open window!), the rooms don't have that musty motel smell, and the heat/ac units keep temps comfortable. The owners living onsite really enhance the safety vibe for a solo traveler.

The management and the ladies that service the rooms are so kind they treat everyone like family. They have excellent weekly rates. The beds are comfortable and clean..the atmosphere is quaint and the view is pretty. There is plenty of camping, fishing, swimming, hiking and other outdoor activities for the family close by. There is a great park and softball.field across the road. I highly recommend this treasure to all families amd couples looking to get away to the fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Beautiful little room great for the price! Though our first room which had an attached door had cockroaches that kept popping their heads in and out and sometimes going into our room; When they got to be too much, we called the owner at about 12 AM. Midnight and he answered promptly and told us that some workers had been going in and out of there which had probably caused the roaches to come in; but he put us in another room without any bugs at all. A very beautiful room, Me and my sister would highly recommend!!! The customer service was amazing and it was a very convenient location close to all the cute town, events, and stores!

A big thank you to Brownsville Motel, and especially to Lori, the wonderful owner, and her sweet dog, Butter Cup. I live in the Bay Area and traveled up there to focus on finishing my memoir. My goal was to find a clean, comfortable room in the countryside with a desk where I could work peacefully--and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Lori's dedication to hospitality truly stood out. Someone is always on the property, so no matter what I needed, Lori was at my door with a solution. One evening, she even went into town just to get me a large bottle of body wash. Now that's service! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend staying here. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the owner friendly. The motel is privately owned and out of the way, which is exactly what I wanted. The wifi worked well and the room had air conditioning. Their is a restaurant on the property with limited hours.
