This was my first time being at Browns Lake In general the people that was there were pretty decent and some of the people were pretty knowledgeable about what you can catch on the lake and what to use to bring in fish. All in all a beautiful and great place to visit again and possibly camp.
Very nice campground! Not very many spots.
Was very busy & buggy!! Mosquitoes are super thick right now! Bird watching is fantastic! Water is still pretty cool, but will warm up probably mid to late June. Saw lots of fish entrails in the water close in. No luck fishing myself though. Maybe next time!
Nice place to camp and launch a boat to go out on the lake. Most of the campsites you are on the water so you can beach your boat on your campsite. I didn't see any trash cans or potable water just outhouses. Kinda pricey $12 a night if you have a fishing license and there are no amenities besides the outhouses so I docked it a star.
Used to be great but the average fish size has dropped steeply, now its constantly packed with glampers, and buzzing generators, still a pretty lake but only if you don't mind geriatric fist fights for spots on shore, and 30ft RVs blocking every view
