Brookside Inn At Laurens

That a lovely young couple with two little kids can manage a full house so capably is amazing. ||||Two-night stop on a road trip to Maine included a visit to Cooperstown. Brookside Inn's location was ideal - just a short drive through lovely country side. Pretty setting, truly brook side. Well maintained late 18th century house brought up to current comfort standards. Our room was large and had a private bathroom. Some rooms share a bath. Breakfast was fresh and hearty - eggs from the backyard chickens. Plenty of sweet and savory snacks available 24/7. In-room mini fridge is nice for road travelers. This was a delightful bed and breakfast for a last-minute, one-night stay. The host was accommodating and made me a delicious breakfast. I loved my time resting in the Bronze Room, which shared a bathroom with other rooms (but there were no other guests that night). There was a big TV, which I didn't have time to watch. Other than that, the space was full of charming historical details.

Great stay. Our room had a gas fireplace which was very cozy. Matt and his kids were very hospitable. The house is old and could use some updates, but everything was clean and in working order. Matt is a really good cook and was a pleasure to chat with both mornings we were there, and he gave us good recommendations on where to eat and even tips on the best route to our next stop. We would definitely stop back if we needed to stay in the area again.

This is a quaint, vintage lodging experience. Staying here felt like staying with family, because the Inn is charming and cozy, and the hosts (Matt and his children) created such a welcoming environment. This included the privacy to use the living area in the evening for a last glass of wine, and a hearty breakfast with their good company.

I would love stay again / location quite and about 10 min from coppertown all-star fields. Less then 30 min to a Walmart Applebee's grocery wine and liquor store and more.it is a historical home but my wife is no drama queen like Paris Hilton. Room had what we needed and clean a long with bathroom. Our host Matt was pleasant, accessable, flexible, attentive, and accommodating.a very relaxing 3 days
