Broken Bell Inn

My family from Utah and rented one of the cabins in Napoleon and they said they had to spend at least a half hour cleaning it before they could move their items in. They said the coffee pot was so dirty they didn't even use it. They said it was nice and quite.

Planned this trip with my sister and her husband to visit my oldest sister in Hazelton who unfortunately passed away before our trip, it ended up being a memorial and my whole family either flew or drove in. We rented all 5 cabins. There were all very well appointed and very comfortable. They had front porches and anyone who drove by would wave. The quilts and decorations were very nice. The shower was a little small but the bathroom was nice. All rooms had an air conditioner which was needed. I would recommend these places to anyone. The owner was very nice.

Napoleon is a small town and it can be very hard to find decent places to stay in such out-of-the-way places. But the Broken Bell Inn is a delightful gem in the middle of open farmlands. It's kept up beautifully and care has been taken to decorate each room. It was very clean and it was nice to also have a refrigerator and microwave available. The air conditioner was much-needed during a record-breaking heat wave and got the room nicely cold for us. We never saw the owner as the key was left in the room with instructions and a phone number in case we needed anything, but she was very nice and helpful when I made the reservation over the phone. We stayed one night in cabin 5 (for about $66) while attending a funeral in Napoleon. The knotty pine Americana interior was immaculate and welcoming with comfortable beds, a little bistro set in the corner, cable TV, free wi-fi, a sink, refrigerator, and microwave, and a nice hot shower! Caleb and Sara and their staff do a wonderful job of running three businesses in Napoleon (see my White Maid review). We have stayed here three times and will again when Napoleon is on our travel list!

I've stayed here twice now and it was great both times. Nice "log cabin" feel to the rooms. Each has access to a kitchenette, which I especially appreciate. They are right on the main drag in Napoleon. They get busy during hunting season, so call ahead. They are a bit beyond walking distance from the town's restaurants, but a very short drive. I understand that they also have a few RV hookups out back.
