Brass Door Motel

I understand the low price and you get what you pay for. But come on there’s services for roaches, I had to leave my travel bag In the back of my truck to make sure I didn’t bring any of them home. This is a nice hotel for the location, there’s not much pride from the people that run this place. Some of the lamps didn’t work. They use an automatic air freshener in the room that sounds like an electronic dead bolt sounds that had me up all night. People arguing in the parking lot.

I am giving this an "Excellent" not because it is the most modern of accommodations but because I was truly impressed with Karishma the manager of the motel. I had issues with Priceline and they were reserving the rooms at a price that was not available. Be aware the $47 rate for Priceline or Agoda is wrong and the manager has been trying to correct it for a year now. Do not book through either of those. Anyway she worked with me and Priceline and even though she did not even have a reservation for me Labor Day weekend she still accommodated me 3 nights. She was professional and kind. It really made my stay experience "excellent" The rooms are very clean, the pillows and mattresses are in excellent condition. I always take the cases and sheets off to check. Yes it could use some updates

Rooms stink, dead flies and bugs everywhere. Not ADA savy, as they denied my ADA certified service dog to stay in a "non-smoker" room, as I requested a room change because the room they assigned me reaked of cigarette/Marijuana smoke smell. Room was dingy, bathtub had dead bugs in it, and later was informed from other local stores that it it's a frequent location for transients. When asked for a refund, would only give a partial refund, stating that we checked in a couple of hours earlier, although we didn't even get into the room until I requested s different room. If you don't mind a cheap, funky smelling room, where you may have to sleep lightly, so that you can check on your property throughout the night, then this is your place.

I wanted a nonsmoking room. The first single bed room I was given had a precious guest that was clearly not following the rules and was smoking in it. They upgraded me to a two bed room for the same cost and it had not been smoked in and was what I wanted and needed!

Positive: Price, access, availability Negative: Linens were stained. Sheets not tucked in Due to one cover for both mattress and box springs.coyld. ot get between to tuck sheet. Edding was either over your head or hanging on floor.
