Branched Oak State Recreation Area

One of my favorite lakes in the Lincoln area. The day I biked here was amazing, and I enjoyed every moment of it, including my sandwich. The road can be tough for bikers, but luckily, we have good drivers in Lincoln. They slow down and move aside where there is a bike. Summer is coming; get your bike and take a trip here.

Me and my family's go to place for daytrips and camping. Lots of campsites available, though ones by the water are mostly first come first served. The beach and lake are one of the cleanest in the area and the beaches are nice, Liebers point is our favorite. Lots of space for boats and jetskis to launch and go on the water. Trees and nature are beautiful and there are 1 or 2 walking trails but this park is best for swimming, camping and picnicking.

Had an amazing camping weekend! The goose poop on the beach was a bit much. My daughter found a bracelet on by the beach. Attached is a picture.

The website to reservations sucks but the park and the people are amazing here! What wonderful people and the lake and park is lovely.

The restroom need maintenance, some of the showers don’t work as they supposed to, you need to hold the chain down in order for the water to flow, and the need to spray for mosquitoes 🦟 and spiders. Other Thant that this place is very nice to camp with your family. The area is to big so when you reserve your space make sure what area you are heading, other ways you’ll end up spending more time lost. Other thing is the grills, they are very old, I recommend you bring your own grill. Bring your own firewood 🪵.
