Boyer Station Campground

This is a nice camp ground. There were mostly long term RV camera there. We were the only overnight campers. Sites are simple. Bathroom was clean for a campsite. Firewood was free. It is family hosted and we were checked on by all the family members. All were very helpful as were some of the other campers. We got lots of info about things to do in the area. Overall a very pleasant stay. It is right on the road but the noise wasn't a problem for us. If you want a well maintained, simple spot this is a great choice.

Very poor communication and lack of respect and character! We scheduled Site 25 for October 2025 in July of 2025. We picked the site and got a confirmation email for that site. A week prior to checking in we tried to call, no answer then emailed checking on check in time. Answer took more than 24 hours and asked us if we were staying in the campground. Upon this question we saw red flags everywhere. We scheduled at East Fork Campground which we highly recommend!!! On our way to WV from PA we finally received an email reminding us that we were in the upper campground…..um….no we are not! After we got settled in our campground spot at East Fork we went to check out Boyer Station Campground. Awful experience! Boyer Station Campground, Restaurant, Motel, Anything about this family is 100%. I called a couple years back about a night or 2 in the motel because I'd be taking them country roads home for a final goodbye in those beautiful mountain view skies. My beloved grandmother had passed away. Even though they weren't really open at that time of season (early February) she had a few construction crew guys there and considering the situation and the only other options being a hour behind us or our from us and her spot being only 2 minutes away from the community center they were having her service at. This wonderful woman took a friend of mine and I in for the night and then refused to let us pay and told me how my grandmother and her had went to school together. Great price, Great people! A great place to stay! If you are road tripping to Cass Scenic Railroad, Green Bank Observatory, Seneca Rocks and Caverns this is a great option. Only 15 minutes ti Green bank Observatory, 45 minutes to Seneca Caverns and Seneca Rocks and about 40 minutes to Cass. We were greeted by Mike as soon as we arrived and we’re free ti pick a spot. Full hookup was $40.00 a night. They invited us to diner Friday night and had square dancing and a live band. We really felt like family. It’s in the NRQZ (National Radio Quiet Zone) there is no cell phone service, but they have Wi-Fi and it worked great. They have a playground as well. A great place to visit for a long weekend or as a stop on your road trip. I can’t say enough on how much I enjoyed my stay.

When I think of a motel in the middle of no where, this one fits all of the stereotypes. The women who owns the motel was very nice an accommodating, we got lost on the way there and had to call from a pay phone (no cell service) to get directions, she was very nice as we did arrive very late at night and understood that it was easy to get lost. We did have to knock on the door at her house to get her to give us the key, just a little too reminiscent of "The Bates Motel." The room itself was okay, the beds were very old and i could feel the metal springs in my back as I slept. We really just needed a place to rest our heads for the night as we were at Snowshoe (only a 30 min drive) for the day.
