Bo's Landing

Driving down to Reelfoot Lake from Nashville with our own kayaks would’ve been a hassle, so we decided to rent kayaks from Bo's Landing—and it was absolutely worth it! It’s a fantastic spot to paddle among the beautiful, flooded cypress trees. You can easily reserve kayaks online and pay with either cash or card when you arrive. The only downside is that they don’t allow you to transport the kayaks to other areas of the lake, which is a bit of a shame since I’d love to explore more spots next time. For now, you can only start your journey from Bo's Landing. We were lucky to get out early in the morning and had the chance to see bald eagles, turtles, and even a water snake—all in the same area. Renting process was quick and super simple and at the price you just can't beat it. Staff was very nice and the dock hand was very helpful. Boats were well used but in fine working conditions. I will be back, I'm sure of it.

My friend and I booked a package deal with Boyette's Resort to stay there for 3 days and get a boat to take out each day from Bo's Landing. The first day we get there we check in, drop off our bags, and then headed to the landing to get a boat to fish. We got there at 2:30pm and the lady who greeted us asked, "You're just now getting here?" I asked if that was a problem, and she told us that they closed at 6:30pm. I thought that 4 hours was plenty of time, so I told her that we would be sure to be back by 6:30pm. We then went outside with her to get a boat. There were 2 there. One was a 3 seater, the other was a 2 seater. Neither were ready to be taken out. The 3 seater had several gallons of water in the back that had to be bailed out.
