Bluegill Lake Family Camping Resort

We arrived at that campground and was initially was treated well by the wife. We had three campsites for our group. All of us have dogs. My friend and I took our dogs down to the beach to get acclimated. My dog scowled a my friends dog a few times loudly as they were running and playing. The owner Paul came up and ask who’s dog was doing that and I told him mine. He told me that I needed to take my dog back to my campsite and put him in my camper and leave them inside all weekend long. My friend told him that was not going to happen. Paul proceeded to to say, do you know who you’re talking to. My friend said I don’t care kick me out and give me my money back. We decided to talk to the wife to try to reason with them being that we were already unpacked and set up. She seemed open to my dog

My family just got back from our Labor Day camping trip at Bluegill. If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this is it. Nancy and Paul really pride themselves on having a peaceful and wholesome family campground. They have large sites that are very clean, 50amp is what we had. My family honestly loved every minute. Nancy was an absolute sweetheart to my family, especially my crazy four year old who loved stopping into her store. Sometimes kids are not always quiet, but Nancy and Paul never mentioned a peep about my kids and honestly, I really didn’t hear any loudness from any groups or kids. We visited in early April looking for a seasonal spot. We meet Nancy and she showed us around and it's a beautiful campground. They had 2 seasonal left so our friends and I committed to both spots. We were so excited to bring our children, nieces and nephews. The campground had its water pump break soon after we set up and was without water until June. We were never given money back or offered anything in return, but honestly no water wasnt a deal breaker for us.Our first big weekend was Memorial Day weekend. We had 9 children and 4 adults between our 2 sites. We all had an amazing weekend and left there with joy! We love the chill and quiet of this smaller campground! Nancy and Paul are so nice and we've camped here for years! The good and the bad is if you have ATT service you will not have service. Which can be good for a quiet weekend. ;) There is wifi at the store if you need it though!

We stayed 3 nights in the cabin. The owners were very nice! They educated my kids about their turtles on the land and they seem to love their wildlife and want to protect it. The park is very relaxing and quiet. I included pictures of the inside of the cabin and the view. Also, the swimming area and the stack of wood I received for $13 (a lot!). I read some mixed reviews (wood, electric box, showers) so I was a little nervous. However, I believe it was a nice place to go! Showers are typical camping showers, nothing special but cleaned and gets the job done! The owners are nice and seem laid back. I would stay here again!
