Blue Ridge Basecamp

Best camping getaway we’ve ever had – thanks to Tja & Nick and their incredible trailer at Blue Ridge Adventure Base Camp! From the moment we arrived in Topton, NC, it was clear that Tja and Nick have thought of absolutely everything. The trailer was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with every little detail you could possibly need: cozy bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor games, camp chairs, a fire pit set-up with firewood provided, the stocked us with English coffee for the week! They even left a handwritten welcome note with local tips and recommendations that made our stay extra special. The location is pure magic – peaceful mountain views, the sound of the creek nearby creek, and perfect dark skies for stargazing. Everything felt luxurious yet still like real camping

An absolute gem of a campground! You can tell that Nick and Tja have put their heart and soul into this place. We camped on site 4, which had an amazing view of the field and stream, and we could not have been happier. The campground location is great as well, close to tons of amazing hikes including the Wayah Bald Tower, 40 minutes outside of Bryson City, and only 20 minutes from the NOC. There is so much to see and do in this area that we're already working on our plans for visiting again next year! Thank you Nick and Tja for a wonderful camping experience! See y'all next year!

Very cool little campground tucked away in the Nantahala Forest. We absolutely enjoyed our time here, hosts Nick and Tja were extremely friendly, helpful with all aspects of our stay. Our travel trailer has a 26' box, and we towed in well by following directions. Anything over will be a challenge! Some campers on site available to rent, and everything was clean and well maintained. On site store with camping necessities, an awesome grassy park area down below with a creek and we had fun with the disc golf basket! Location wise, just a couple of miles from the lake/Lake's End Marina, for lake things. The Nantahala Library is just around the corner for reading time. Thank you both so much, hope to stay again soon!!

Beautiful campsite with an intimate setting. We had specific dates reserved but as time drew near, bad weather was coming in and Nick and Tja were so accommodating in changing our dates by just 1 day and we ended up with beautiful camping weather. Stayed in camper #8, which was great!

Blue Ridge Basecamp is amazing! We spent the weekend here and it was everything we wanted. Nick and Tja were so nice and very attentive to any needs. Basecamp is secluded but also close to some great places and sites to visit. Highly recommend Blue Ridge Basecamp for a great getaway!!!1 We will definitely be back!
