Blue Mountain Lodge Motel

This is an older building but my room was nicely updated and had all the extras a chain motel has. Ken at the desk was easy going and pleasant. My Vernon the town was clean and funky. For the price it was just perfect !

The room was clean, pleasant, updated, and had a terrific heater / air conditioner that heated the room in 5 minutes. The shower was hot, the towels were soft and didn't reek of too much chlorine.||||One observation: the room had zero coat hooks or hangers; there was nowhere to hang anything up. A little odd, but not a problem.

It's like staying at gramma's house, if she's lived in the same house for 60 years. VERY clean! And remodeled in a DIY style. The guy at the front desk was friendly and professional, despite looking a little like Grizzly Adam's. I did interrupt what looked like a project he and a friend were working on. Didn't seem to bother him at all. Fridge, microwave, and wifi all worked. If your looking for a clean,comfortable room at an affordable price, this is a good place. Would stay again.

We were driving through Oregon in August of 2023 and this hotel was just out of the most dangerous smoke. Beds and floors clean. There's a Microwave and a fridge, but the wifi doesn't work, there's no breakfast and even though there's ice-- they won't let you have it because of covid. The bed looks 30 years old, (I think we had the same one 30 years ago), the ceiling tiles sag in places, but the air conditioning is great.

For a motel, the room exceeded our expectations for the cost. Our room had a queen bed plus a twin and looked to be very newly remodeled. The queen bed was quite firm, maybe too firm for some but fine for us. DirecTV was available and easy to use. There was also a nice sized mini fridge and microwave available. Check-in was very quick and the staff was kind enough to call to confirm our reservation around 9pm since we were running a bit behind schedule. Our only issue was the wifi, it was available but would not let either of us connect. It was okay though because we both had fine enough service on our phones. There aren't a lot of services in the town outside of the weekend so be aware of that if you are coming in anytime Monday - Wednesday or Thursday.
