Blue Hills Ranch

We spent only a few days at Blue Hills Ranch and we enjoyed our time. The Kraken cabin was the right size for 2 adults and 2 kids and the view from the deck was beautiful. The inside decor was impressive. We all enjoyed seeing the different animals roaming about and be able to feed them right from the porch, even when the zebras wouldn't leave. They definitely know when you have snacks. The otter experience was educational and a pure delight. They were so playful and energentic it was hard to keep up with them zooming around. The overall stay was a bit on the pricey side especially when there are no included amenities you might find in a resort setting. They did provide a few coffee pods, but we had to ask for additional for the remaining mornings we were there, which they provided with ze

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Blue Hills Ranch over Christmas. The ranch is stunning, peaceful, and beautifully cared for. It was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy quality time together during the holidays. Our kids were over the moon. Being able to see and pet the giraffes from the balcony was an unforgettable surprise for them and made the experience truly magical. The food was incredible, chef Kim did an amazing job and every meal felt special. Matt, the owner, was so kind, attentive, and accommodating, which made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Every employee who we met truly loved being there. This place has so much heart ❤️ we cannot wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special getaway.

We had the most wonderful family vacation of our lives at Blue Hills Ranch! Our two teenagers spent more time smiling, laughing and interacting with all the animals than they did on their phones (which says a lot) and my husband and I completely enjoyed it as well. All of the animals were amazing, with incredible and unique personalities and every staff member we met was very friendly and welcoming. And we were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations - they were very nice and comfortable. We can't stop telling our friends and family how thrillingly fun the ranch was, sharing our extraordinary pictures and looking forward to our next trip there. It was an absolutely fabulous experience that we'll never forget!

My family and I visited Blue Hills in early 2026 (only days after Texas was hit with a snow storm). Going into the trip, we did not know what to expect. Sure, we saw videos and photos on their IG page.. but with the weather and it being our first time visiting the Ranch, we still had no idea how the vacation would play out. Well, it was a 10 out of 10. The staff is extremely welcoming. So kind. So passionate. So caring. The animals are straight out of a dream. We had our 7 year old daughter with us. The animals were so gentle and loving. You could tell they are well taken care of. The land is massive. Zebras, donkeys, giraffes, and kangaroos are free to roam all over the place. Expensive but I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The cabin was very clean. The animals all seemed extremely well treated. I had the pleasure to tour the property with 4 people at various times. Each person was amazingly kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They also took many pictures and videos of us, many of which without us even having to ask (I hate asking for pictures). I particularly enjoy getting in the water with the otters while my wife most enjoyed the giraffes. Interacting with the kangaroos was a close second for both of us. However, those are just a portion of what we did and everything was amazing. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and chief. The owner was very kind.
