Blooming Inn Shelburne Falls

This is our second one night stay at Blooming Inn and it suit our purpose very well. We had a first floor room off the dining room with two twin beds with an adjoining a room with toilet and sink and another adjoining room with a shower. The space was a bit small for two with our bit of luggage, but manageable. I think the beds had Thermapedic mattresses, which I'm not fond of as they tend to be warm and they were somewhat firm. Still, we got a good night's sleep. I'd expected the room to a little noisy, being next to the dining room, but it was very quiet, perhaps because that Thursday night the Inn was not accomodating many guests. I found the Blossom Inn Guesthouse a comfortable and delightful surprise ! Very clean, rooms. Travelling solo for work this time, I had picked it based on the positive reviews of it during its 15 years as the Dancing Bear, and was so glad I landed there. I had a real quiet queen room, large windows, very comfortable bed with lovely linens. Owners Ellie and Richard gave me suggestions of lots to do within just a a few blocks walk, including a great view of the Falls, artistic shops and yum food - I got take out and relaxed in the dining room for the snowfall. I asked to see several rooms the next morning, since I plan to come back this spring with family for Berkshire East hiking and exploring.

Very cute and comfy overall! Lovely hosts / owners who were friendly, pleasant, shared great info about town and things to do / places to eat both ahead of time and while I was there. Some rooms have a separate bathroom across the hall tho it’s private to your room, but be aware it may not be IN the room. Upstairs room with radiator was VERY warm during a winter stay (had to open windows!). Glad to have a relaxed nice spot to stay that didn’t feel like a boring, sterile hotel room.

The Blooming Inn is an absolutely great spot. It is a small Inn with 3 or 4 rooms with their own locks. Richard is an absolutely great and responsive host. The place is absolutely adorable. Also, there is a 6kw EV charger a quarter block away, in case you are like me and drive an EV.

A unique experience. If you like antiques and want to revisit the old days, this place is for you. It is clean, comfortable, and has adequate bathrooms. There are unlimited coffee, tea, toast and English muffins. The Wi-Fi is very fast, more than 200 megabits/s. Entry is 24 hours, self-service. The host will send you a code to unlock the front door and your room. The location is convenient to Route 2 and shops in Shelburne Falls. The room price is very reasonable and the experience is much nicer than high-priced sterile hotel chains.
