Blackwater Joe's: Canoes Cabins Camping

I've used blackwater Joe's shuttle service four times now and the reason I keep going back is how accommodating and helpful slash nice they are. Very down to earth people who are there to make sure you're safe and have a good time. I've done the five and seven mile trip but the next on the agenda is the overnight camping and I'll be using Blackwater Joe's on that next adventure because of awesome the service provided is! Thank you for being so nice!

Blackwater Joes was great! The folks who answered my questions on the phone, as well as provided our shuttle service were kind, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this company for any kayaking excursion. We own our kayaks, so they transported us upstream, the long way since the 1 of the forest roads was closed and we had a wonderful downstream trip to their take out.

Quiet out of the way campground with kayak rentals. We were greeted by Benjamin, had a short drive upstream in his pickup truck to the put-in. Enjoyed a relaxing paddle down the Blackwater River (really not much paddling except to avoid downed trees). Unfortunately, no wildlife viewing but we loved being able to kayak in February. Thank you for a wonderful morning.

Best natural/real camping experience I've had thus far. Ran by Ben, who knows what the deal is and provides an amazing experience with a well maintained and beautiful landscape. They made my son's first camping experience truly memorable and I can't thank them enough. Can't wait to come back and visit!

We found this place on-line while looking for a place to tent camp on off I-10, north of Panama Beach. We needed a place that our Odyssey van could easily navigate. This is off the beaten path but it is pretty well maintained. This is a great alternative to the “RV camping sites” if you want to tent camp. The staff is super laid back and helpful. We don’t have young children, but this would be a great place for kids to experience the joy of camping.
