My review opportunity on Hipcamp expired before I had a chance to leave a message, so I wanted to share here: on our first trip to Black Water Getaway, we encountered an equipment issue with our camper that threatened to send us home before experiencing this tranquil place. As we contemplated packing up and leaving, Larry jumped in to help diagnose the problem. Larry and Sheila saved the day and saved our holiday weekend. Wonderful place and wonderful people. We will visit again to relax on our tubes in the quiet, cool waters with a rum cocktail. Thank you so much, Larry and Sheila!
If you're wanting to get away for a relaxing weekend this is Very nice place for it (in middle of nowhere is adequate description 😁) , cabin is very clean, comfortable and has everything needed except for the food 😁 fire pit and grill in the yard .if you have a camper they've got two RV sites that appear to have electric and water hookup..firewood for sale on site at very reasonable price ...will definitely be back again
This property was awesome! The house itself was very tidy, the air conditioning worked well, and the river nearby is great. Sheila's family is very kind, and made sure I knew everything about the property before I began my stay. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants a private, quiet getaway.
