Blackduck Lodge & Resort

My daughter, God bless her, wanted to take me on a fishing trip after I retired. We got lucky to find Blackduck Lodge and Resort. Stayed at Cabin #1 (The Pike). The cabin is quaint but clean, well equipped and totally adequate for our needs. Awesome fish cleaning facility that you will need because it’s an excellent fishing lake. Great communication from the owners. The owners were away on personal business but left the property in capable hands (Blaise 👍).

This resort is wonderful. We spent a week here for our 39th Anniversary. The owners are hospitable and very friendly. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We had our own boat and the dock is great with great protection from the wind. C.J. had great fishing advice and always helpful. Jeannie was a great hostess always there to help. This is truly a wonderful place to spend time. Sunfish, the cabin, is very romantic and sooooooo cute! You will not be disappointed here. A little piece of heaven on earth.

We stayed here for a quick getaway. It was absolutely wonderful! The grounds are nicely kept and they were cleaning the sanding beachshore while we were there. My husband went fishing in the evening and was pleasantly surprised at how many fish they caught. The cabins are rustic/modern; meaning, the cabins are around 100 years old but have been updated with all of the modern amenities you would expect. Including wifi!!! You know we can't live without wifi! The beds had some beautiful hand made quilts on them which made it feel so homey. If you get the chance, give them a try. Last but not least, the host are wonderful and very accommodating.

This is a super cute resort that is under new ownership! We loved the playground, excellent fishing, and array of water toys to use (kayaks, paddle board, canoe, and paddle boat). Life jackets are provided as well and a boat is available to rent. The owners were super friendly and shared great local information with us to make our trip fun! The cabins are not new but had everything we needed, pots, pans, silverware, glasses and bedding. I'm sure they will probably make some updates as they go but I also love the original log cabin feel. CJ and Jeannine have a nice little resort. Very friendly and engaged owners. We had our group of 3 in cabin 1, which was in great shape, clean, totally met expectations. CJ helped us launch our boat and gave us good advice for fishing the lake. Our objective for our vacation was to go fishing, this place was perfect for that, beautiful views, great lake, personalized touch. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
