Blackbird Lodge

It's an extremely quiet well kept hotel. My wife and I stayed for two nights and it was a blast. We had a great time walking around and exploring the area. The inner city is all walkable easily from the hotel. You can also reach trails which will take you out into nature from the hotel without a car. The parking is good and off road keeping your vehicles out of view which is nice since you probably won't be driving much. The weather and views from the hotel were stunning and the surrounding mountains are absolutely spectacular.

We stayed in a one bedroom lock off. The room was nicely furnished, very spacious, clean, and within walking distance to everything. It had everything we needed and parking is free.||The only thing you might want to be aware of is that the tub/shower is very deep and requires a huge step over the side of the tub to get in. There is a handle on the side of the tub but it may still be difficult for some to maneuver around. ||Also, kitchen doesn’t have an oven or full size fridge.||This is a great stay for a quick getaway. You can walk to all of the shops and restaurants and not have to worry about driving and parking.

I loved, loved, loved this little lodge. Rooms were very clean. We had a beautiful view from our balcony. The front desk ladies were very sweet. We can't wait to come back in the winter. We definitely will stay a lot longer. So relaxing. Parking is a little tight so drive a compact car.

Out of the many hotels/lodges I have stayed in, this has got to be in the top three for cleanest rooms I have been in. That is my biggest concern when finding a place to stay. I ended up with a studio which was actually pretty big in comparison to other studios/economy rooms I have stayed in and the basics (like towels) were provided. The room didn't have a kitchen, but it did have a microwave and a mini fridge. Only four cups were provided in the room, but dishes and wrapped plastic utensils could be found on the second floor. The room only had one sink in the bathroom which was unfortunate. Bring your own shampoo or whatever because the room only came with two soap bars. I had to check-in after hours so make sure you call ahead if you are going to be late for the 4pm check-in so they can

This resort is nestled right by the edge of the river in town and was walking distance to all of the amenities that we needed. Our room was cozy and welcoming and the staff were wonderful!
