Black Sands Resort and Campground

We've been coming here for 30 yrs and have turned the lights out several nights. So many many good memories. Just not a family vibe anymore. Lots of rotation and more about making money which is what it's all about, I guess. Food is ok, for what they offer. loved this place. We wish them well.

I had frequented this place many times in the past; its been a while...3 years plus. I really enjoyed it then. Now...not so much. New management has allowed it to deteriorate and the food, which was once very good, was terrible 😳 I don't normally write negative reviews or any at all, but I was very disappointed.

Rode the bikes out for a little camping and fishing. Nice spot right on the water . Enjoyed a great meal at the restaurant. Dinner on the deck overlooking the lake. Very nice staff. Tent spots have fire rings, BBQ, table and nice shade trees.

I can't give you info on the campground, but the burgers my granddaughter and I had were absolutely delicious!! We even thanked the cook on our way out!

That was my last Black Sands Burger under our families ownership. It was delicious! Hopefully the new owner Bill, will take care of the place and the patrons like my Grandma and Grandpa did. It was great to see and hear about the many good times people had there over 50+ years!
